What we collect

DupeMap has no accounts, no sign-up and no comment forms, and it sets no cookies of its own. The third-party tools below set their own; they are listed here so you can decide what to allow.

  • Server logs. Like every website, our host records IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted on a rolling basis.
  • Affiliate click events. When you click an Amazon button we record which button was clicked, on which page, and your browser type, so we can see which comparisons are useful. We do not record anything you do on Amazon.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits in aggregate: pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and which site sent you.
  • Session analytics. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — and replays those sessions back to us as recordings and heatmaps, so we can see where a comparison table confuses people. It sets its own cookies. We use it to fix the pages, not to identify you, and we never attempt to link a recording to a person.
  • Advertising. If advertising is enabled, our ad partner may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, subject to its own privacy policy and your consent choices where the law requires them.

Amazon

When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon's privacy notice applies on its site. Amazon may use cookies to attribute purchases to our links. Some product images are loaded directly from Amazon's image servers, which receive your IP address and browser type like any image request; we send them no referrer.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and use browser tools that limit tracking. Microsoft Clarity honours Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals where your browser sends them. For any privacy request, email hello@dupemap.com.

Children

DupeMap is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
